Dhruv Jurel has been named captain of the Central Zone team for the upcoming Duleep Trophy 2025. The competition will be held in Bengaluru at the BCCI's new Centre of Excellence, beginning on August 28.
The Central Zone squad, led by Jurel, boasts considerable talent, including Rajat Patidar, who will serve as vice-captain if he is declared fit.

Shubman Gill, India's Test captain, will captain the North Zone team. The North Zone squad features potential India team members, despite the Asia Cup coinciding with the Duleep Trophy. The selection committee has made provisions for potential player replacements.
The selection committee stated that if Shubman Gill, Arshdeep Singh, Harshit Rana, or any other players are chosen for the Indian team during the series coinciding with the Duleep Trophy, Shubham Rohilla (Services) will replace Shubman Gill, Gurnoor Brar will replace Arshdeep Singh, and Anuj Thukral will replace Harshit Rana.

The West Zone Selection Committee has announced Shardul Thakur as captain of the 15-member West Zone squad for the upcoming Duleep Trophy matches. The team includes seven players from Mumbai, four from Gujarat, and two each from Maharashtra and Saurashtra.
Key players from Mumbai include Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shreyas Iyer, and Sarfaraz Khan, while Ruturaj Gaikwad from Maharashtra is also included. Veteran players Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara were not selected for the squad.
The committee, led by Sanjay Patil of the Mumbai Cricket Association, has also named seven standby players: Mahesh Pithiya, Shivalik Sharma, Mukesh Chaudhary, Siddharth Desai, Chintan Gaja, Musheer Khan, and Urvil Patel.
The tournament will commence on August 28 with two quarterfinals. West Zone, who have a direct entry into the semifinal, will begin their campaign on September 4. The final is scheduled for September 11. All matches will take place at the BCCI Centre of Excellence ground in Bengaluru.
West Zone Squad:
The East Zone squad for the Duleep Trophy 2025 includes Bengal players Mohammed Shami, Abhimanyu Easwaran, Akash Deep, Mukesh Kumar, and Suraj Sindhu Jaiswal.
Ishan Kishan will captain the team, with Abhimanyu Easwaran serving as vice-captain. Five players from Bengal are in the East Zone squad.
Sudip Kumar Gharami is on the standby list.
